Dr DeMasi is a Brazilian native who migrated to the US with her family in 1994. She completed her undergraduate as well as her graduate studies in the state of Illinois. She holds a degree of Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry, school affiliated with the University of Chicago Ophthalmology department, where she graduated in 2004. During her externship rotations, she received honors in the areas of patient care, emergency and neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. DeMasi worked as an optometrist in several settings including at a large ophthalmology group practice in the St Louis area and at Nellis AFB/VA hospital in Las Vegas before moving to Florida almost 13 years ago. Since then, she has built her solo practice now open in 2 Port St Lucie locations. Dr DeMasi has been a member of the American Optometric Association since 2004 and an active member of both the Florida Optometric Association and the Treasure Coast Optometric Society since 2008. She regularly volunteers her services at the Hands Clinic of St Lucie County and in Haiti on medical missions. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, learning French, traveling, exercising and studying the Bible. Dr DeMasi truly believes that her professional knowledge and skills are God-given gifts and thus used for His praise and for the well being of those she treats and cares for.
